Lake Point, UT (November 22, 2021) – One person was hospitalized on Sunday, November 21st after trying to extinguish a house fire in Lake Point.
Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire on Center Street at about 4:00 p.m. Upon their arrival, crews observed heavy fire coming out of the windows.
One person was inside the home at the time. He was transported by paramedics to the University of Utah Hospital’s burn ward after he was exposed to smoke and flames while attempting to put out the fire.
The two other residents were not home when the fire broke out.
Officials said the home is most likely a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
