Emigration Canyon, UT (November 22, 2021) – One man was hospitalized with critical injuries on Sunday, November 21st following a single-car accident in Emigration Canyon.
The accident took place at about 4:00 p.m. in the 6800th block of East Emigration Canyon Road, when a car carrying three men left the roadway and traveled down an embankment.
After the incident, two of the men fled the scene on foot while the third was pinned inside the vehicle, requiring extrication. The man trapped in the car was transported by ambulance to the University of Utah Hospital in critical condition.
One of the two men who fled was later apprehended. The other is still at large.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in this accident.
