The accident took place at about 3:00 p.m. at about 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of State Route 40 where Thompson and Graph-Liley were in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. Once the Jeep left the righthand side of the road a second time, it overturned. Both occupants were ejected and sustained fatal injuries.
