Salt Lake City, UT (July 03, 2021) – Three firefighters and one resident sustained various injuries during a three-alarm apartment fire on Thursday, July 1st in Salt Lake City.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene at about 6:00 p.m. to the 1800 block of South Main Street at the Towers on Main apartment complex for reports of a fire.
Upon their arrival, crews discovered fire coming from a unit in the complex. Given the unique “L” shape of the building, it took crews longer than usual to get to the flames and extinguish them.
Parts of the building were evacuated as crews battled the flames, which they quickly got under control.
Two firefighters succumbed to heat exposure and another sustained injuries related to a fall. Additionally, a resident of the complex endured enough smoke inhalation to require medical intervention.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Injuries caused by fire are usually painful, demand multiple surgeries, and can leave their victims with noticeable scars.

Regardless of whether you sustained your fire-related injuries during a house fire, construction accident, explosion, or traffic accident, these types of injuries are often serious, sometimes life-threatening, and they frequently cause additional medical complications.
