Wendover, UT – Five Injured In High-Speed Crash On Bonneville Salt Flats

Wendover, UT (September 05, 2022) – Five people were hospitalized with non-critical injuries on Sunday, September 4th after the driver of a speeding vehicle crashed on the Bonneville Salt Flats just outside of Wendover.

Reports show that a 2022 Tesla was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour along the salt flats when it crashed into an earthen berm. According to a police investigation, the driver of the vehicle barely attempted to brake.  

Airbags and seat belts were credited with lessening the victim’s injuries.  

All five patients were taken by ambulance to the University of Utah Hospital.
