Grand Co, UT – Collision Between Semi And RV On SR-191 Near Moab Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Grand Co, UT (September 29, 2022) – One person died and another was injured when a recreational vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided on State Road 191 in Grand County on Wednesday, September 28th.

Reports show that the driver of the RV was exiting a highway rest area, about 10 miles outside of Moab, when it was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer at about 5:40 p.m.

The RV’s driver, identified only as an adult male, was ejected from the now-totaled vehicle. The man died at the scene.

The truck operator was taken by paramedics to an area hospital in non-life threatening condition. Both his cab and trailer were heavily damaged.

Both men were the sole occupants of their vehicles.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and his family in hopes of a full recovery.

During the ten years leading up to 2002, the number of semi-trucks involved in serious accidents increased by 10%; an upsurge due primarily to avoidable circumstances like being too tired to drive safely, driving a truck in a dangerous manner, oversized or unbalanced freight, and faulty parts.

The Salt Lake City semi-truck crash lawyers at Jardine Law Offices P.C. P. C., work hard to make sure their clients see justice done by doing whatever is necessary to secure the full amount of compensation as supported by their claims.

The representation of a skilled semi-truck accident attorney in Utah who knows how to determine the expenditures you can expect to make in the coming months is your best chance at securing the compensation you are entitled to.

Sadly, most semi-truck crash victims panic and concede to the first settlement they are offered without giving thought to their possible future medical expenses and, oftentimes, without having received their final medical diagnosis. This common mistake leaves victims to cover the not-inconsiderable remaining costs out of pocket.
