Brigham City, UT (June 28, 2022) – Two people were med-flighted to a regional trauma center after a car veered into oncoming traffic, striking another car head-on on Tuesday, June 28th.
Officials from the Brigham City Fire Department responded to the crash which occurred while they were responding to a separate event that involved a high-pressure gas main that was struck during excavation work.
According to police, crews were dispatched to the scene at 200 South and 200 East at about 9:00 a.m.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their respective vehicles and both were critically injured.
The driver of one vehicle was airlifted by a medical helicopter. The other driver was initially transported by ambulance but was later flown to an area hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
No other details were provided. It is unclear which vehicle drove into oncoming traffic.
