Roughly 3,000 people are seriously injured or killed in Utah tractor-trailer accidents every single year. These oversized commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds. This means that they have the ability to cause severe and permanent injuries to their victims. This is especially true when you take into account the significantly smaller size of most other vehicles.
While the majority of commercial truck accidents are avoidable, the rate at which they are involved in collisions with other vehicles continues to increase with each passing year. Commercial trucks are much bigger than almost every other type of vehicle, which increases the likelihood that they will cause serious harm to the occupants of another motor vehicle.
In many instances, victims of tractor-trailer crashes sustain injuries that demand hospitalization, ongoing medical care, surgeries, and physical therapy both immediately and in the months to come.
If you have been injured in an accident that was caused by another person’s negligence, it is vital that you seek guidance from a skilled tractor-trailer accident lawyer in Utah right away.
