Salt Lake City, UT (August 10, 2022) – On August 10, a huge tractor-trailer collided with another passenger automobile on I-80, closing multiple lanes and causing a number of casualties.
The Utah Highway Patrol reported that a collision on State Street impeded many lanes at 6:45 p.m. in the early evening.
According to reports, the truck driver was transferred to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The region’s roadways were closed for many hours while rescue workers retrieved the debris. There is no more information available at this time, however.
Our hearts go out to the injured parties and their families. We wish a full recovery to all victims.
The number of semi-trucks involved in fatal accidents increased by 11% in the decade before 2002, owing mostly to avoidable causes such as driver exhaustion, irresponsible driving, excessive or unbalanced loads, and malfunctioning components. Semi-truck accidents may be caused by the same factors that cause vehicle accidents, such as drunken drivers, driver errors, tired driving, equipment failures, and inadequate maintenance.
The majority of semi-truck accident victims must go through a painful and lengthy recovery process. This may need difficult and painful physical rehabilitation, as well as several procedures and costly, continuous medical treatments, all of which result in an ever-growing pile of hospital bills, as well as other related damages, such as lost earnings due to incapacity to work.
Unfortunately, the majority of semi-truck accident victims accept the initial compensation offer without considering future medical bills and, in some cases, without a recognized medical diagnosis. This usual blunder leaves victims liable for the remaining, not small, costs.
When negligence leads to damages and losses, victims should consult with a Utah semi-truck accident lawyer. A victim of another’s actions is legally entitled to restitution.
You have the best chance of receiving the compensation to which you are entitled if you are represented by an experienced Utah semi-truck accident attorney who can forecast the costs you will pay over the following few months.
