Lehi, UT (August 18, 2022) – Two teens from Lehi were killed during a car accident on Sunday, August 14th.
According to police, two 19-year-olds died in a single-car crash. Their identities are being withheld pending family notification.
The incident took place at about 9:00 a.m. on the exit ramp leading from Interstate 15 to 2100 North at Thanksgiving Point. As the driver neared the ramp’s intersection, instead of making a righthand or lefthand turn, they went straight.
The vehicle traveled over three curbs, crashed through a fence, flew over a ditch, and plowed through a second fence. The accident caused the vehicle to overturn before coming to an uncontrolled stop.
Police have not determined if impairment was a factor in the accident.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time.
