Hooper, UT – One Injured When Small Plane Crashes In Hooper Field

Hooper, UT (September 24, 2021) – One person sustained injuries when a small plane crashed into a field on Thursday, September 24th in Weber County.

Crews from several agencies were dispatched to the site near the intersection of 4800 South and 6365 West in Hooper Thursday at about 4:00 p.m.

Officials from the Weber Fire District reported that two people were in the plane when it made its crash landing.

The plane came to a rest on its roof in an open field. A tractor was used to set the plane back on its landing gear. The fuselage appeared heavily damaged.

One person was transported to a local hospital with non-critical injuries. The other was unharmed. Their names have not been released.

The cause of the accident crash has not been determined but officials did confirm there was a small fuel leak which may have contributed.

Crews from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office and Roy City Fire & Rescue were called to the scene.
