Cedar City, UT – 13-Year-Old On ATV Hospitalized Following Collision At Bulldog Rd And 2400 North

Cedar City, UT (September 22, 2021) – A 13-year-old boy was brought to a local hospital in unknown condition on Tuesday, September 21st after the all-terrain vehicle he was driving was hit by another vehicle.

An official with the Cedar City Police said the accident took place at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of 2400 North and Bulldog Road.

The boy operating the ATV was riding eastbound on 2400 North behind two other teens on dirt bikes. Although both of the cyclists made it across Bulldog Road without incident, a northbound Ford Explorer crashed into the ATV, tossing the child into the roadway.

He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The severity of his injuries has not been made clear but reports show that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The occupants of the Explorer were unharmed during the incident. The vehicle took minor front-end damage but was drivable.

The ATV sustained heavy damage, including a broken wheel. It was hauled away from the scene in a trailer.

No citations have been issued at this time as the crash is still under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
