Duchesne, UT (October 06, 2021) – A man died after he was struck by a tractor-trailer on Wednesday, October 6th just outside of Duchesne.
The accident took place on State Route 87 near milepost 4 at about 3:05 a.m.
An investigation determined that a 59-year-old man from Colorado was guiding a co-worker who was operating a tractor-trailer and backing up along SR-87 at the intersection for 6000 South.
Another tractor-trailer driving northbound failed to see the man directing traffic and struck him. He died at the scene.
Both directions of SR-87 were shut down for nearly two hours while officers investigated the accident.
