Draper, UT – David Wagman Identified As Fatal I-15 Motorcycle Crash Victim

Draper, UT (June 26, 2021) – A motorcycle rider died following a crash on Interstate 15 on Friday, June 25th.

The accident took place at about 3:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near 14600 South when two motorcyclists were riding separate bikes when the front rider ran over a piece of debris in the road.

After striking the debris, she looked back and saw the other rider lose control, collide with the left-side concrete barrier and go down.

The second biker, who has since been identified as David Wagman, 56, a resident of Philadelphia, slid about 50 yards before stopping in the HOV lane.

Wagman was taken by paramedics to a local hospital with major head trauma. He died later on from his injuries.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, David Wagman, at this time.

Even the most careful of motorcycle riders have greatly increased odds of sustaining injuries during a vehicle collision when compared to the occupant of a car or truck. According to newly established data calculated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, people who ride motorcycles incur five timesthe risk of enduring injuries than others involved in the crash.
