St. George, UT (December 10, 2021) – St. George Police and first responders responded to the corner of Dixie Downs Road and Sunset Boulevard on Friday morning, December 10, for reports of two separate car crashes that occurred within two hours of each other.
One of the incidents left one man injured and disrupted the midday commute in the area.
On the northbound side of Dixie Downs, a Gold Cross ambulance and St. George Police and fire vehicles were pictured. EMTs transported at least one person, identified only as an adult male, to an area medical center.
It’s unclear how the accident occurred, though officers say that a red sports car appeared to collide with a silver Honda Odyssey around 11:30 a.m. The sports car rolled as a result of the impact, and both vehicles sustained serious damage.
The investigation into the cause of the incident remains ongoing.
