Tooele Co, UT (August 31, 2021) – Utah Highway Patrol Troopers reported that two people were killed in a wrong-way accident on Interstate 80 on Tuesday, August 31st in Tooele County.
Troopers said the accident took place on the interstate close to milepost 55, near the Grassy Mountain Rest Area when a car drove into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle.
Two people died in the crash.
Westbound Interstate 80 was temporarily closed while troopers investigated the crash.
