Sandy, UT – One Dead Following Fatal Crash On 9400 South

Sandy, UT (August 22, 2021) – A woman was killed on Sunday, August 22nd during a collision between two vehicles in Salt Lake County. 

Officials from Sandy Police said that, for reasons that have yet to be determined, a vehicle heading westbound on 9400 South veered into oncoming traffic, and crashed head-first into an oncoming vehicle in the area of 1760 East in Sandy.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported by paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition but eventually passed away due to the severity of her injuries. 

Her identity has not been released, but police have confirmed the victim was a 28-year-old woman.

The other driver was also hospitalized but is in stable condition.

This accident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
