Tractor-Trailer Accidents in North Salt Lake

Tractor-trailer accidents are frequently caused by negligence on the part of the trucking company. These include overloaded or overweight trailers, faulty truck parts, poor or no maintenance, inadequate driver training, speeding, or other illegal driving habits. When mixed with bad weather, bad road conditions, and overtaxed drivers who are exhausted, the chance for an accident is high.

When victims are injured in accidents caused by the negligence of other drivers, it is crucial that they seek legal guidance from a skilled and knowledgeable tractor-trailer accident attorney in North Salt Lake as soon as possible. When victims are harmed in collisions, through no fault of their own, they are often able to obtain compensation from wrongdoers to alleviate the financial costs they face for medical treatment, lost wages, property repairs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages.

Between 1992 and 2002, the rate of fatal tractor-trailer crashes rose by 10%. These preventable accidents were caused mainly by avoidable circumstances such as driver fatigue, unsafe truck operation, oversized and unbalanced payloads, and faulty equipment. Accidents involving large commercial trucks are also subject to the same causative factors as other vehicles, including driver exhaustion, drunk driving, driver mistakes, equipment malfunctions, and improper maintenance.
