Juab Co, UT – Clifford Sweat Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash On US-6

Juab Co, UT (April 23, 2021) – A man from Layton was killed during a car accident on State Highway 6 on Thursday, April 22nd.

The Utah Department of Public Safety reported that the crash occurred at about 1:00 p.m. when a Ram ProMaster heading eastbound on US-6 was struck by an oncoming Ford pick-up truck towing a trailer when it crossed over the centerline.

The van collided with the right front corner of the trailer.

The force of the impact caused extensive damage to the trailer, causing parts of it to become dislodged and go through the van’s windshield.

The driver of the van who has since been identified as Clifford Sweat, 40, a resident of Layton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
