Clearfield, UT (April 23, 2021) – A 47-year-old man from Ogden died when he was hit by a car and thrown from his bike on Friday, April 23rd in Clearfield.
The accident took place at about 2:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Main Street.
Officers from the Clearfield Police Department responded to reports of a three-vehicle crash with injuries. Upon their arrival, police discovered a motorcyclist in serious condition.
Reports show that the rider was driving eastbound on 1700 South when an oncoming SUV turned into the path of the motorcycle. The rider swerved in an attempt to avoid crashing into the SUV which caused it to collide with another westbound vehicle.
The man was thrown from his motorcycle and was then hit by another car.
The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.
