Newton, UT (February 09, 2022) – A two-vehicle accident that took place at about 8:00 a.m. in Newton on Wednesday, February 9th put one man in the hospital in serious condition.
According to sources, a 22-year-old man from Cornish was heading westbound on State Route 142 in a Buick Regal when it and a Dodge pick-up truck collided head-on with one another.
The driver of the Buick was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated by first responders. He was then med flighted to an area hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the Dodge, a 32-year-old woman from Clarkston, sustained non-critical injuries. She was also taken to an area hospital. There was no sign of driver impairment and police did not find any evidence of alcohol or drugs in either vehicle.
