St. George, UT (September 06, 2021) – A collision between two vehicles that took place at an intersection in front of St. George Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 5th left two women with injuries.
The accident, which involved a black Mercedes and a green Mercury Montego occurred at about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of 700 South and River Road. The Mercedes ended up in the middle of the intersection with damage to the passenger side.
The Montego came to rest atop the sidewalk, fluids leaking from the car and the front end completely torn off.
According to an official, the green Montego was carrying two elderly females southbound on River Road when it collided with the Mercedes as it was making a lefthand turn from River Road onto 700 South. The Mercedes was driven by a female who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The driver of the Mercedes was unharmed during the accident. The two passengers of the Montego were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
