Layton, UT (October 08, 2021) – Officers from the Layton Police Department were called to investigate a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that ended with the death of a 16-year-old boy on Thursday, October 7th.
The accident took place at about 8:30 p.m. at approximately 8:30 p.m. when a 71-year-old man driving a mid-sized SUV struck the teenager at the intersection of Midtown Crossing and Main Street.
The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with police officers.
There is no indication that either the victim or the driver was under the influence.
