Cedar City, UT (November 20, 2021) – A motorcyclist died on Friday, November 19th after a collision involving an SUV on Main Street in Cedar City.
The accident took place at about 3:00 p.m. on Main Street at the intersection of 600 South when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV collided.
Officials said the motorcyclist was riding southbound along Main Street as the SUV was driving northbound.
A preliminary investigation shows that the driver of the SUV turned left in front of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was wearing his helmet when the accident occurred. First responders provided medical attention at the scene, The man was then transported by ambulance to Cedar City Hospital in critical condition. He passed away a short while later.
The adult female driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital with injuries classified as non-critical.
