Salt Lake City, UT (June 21, 2021) – One person was transported to an area hospital after a collision between two vehicles on Monday afternoon, June 21, on Interstate 15.
The accident, which happened around 4:30 p.m., took place in the southbound lanes of I-15 at the I-215 junction and involved at least three vehicles, including a box truck and two sedans. Per reports from officials with the Utah Department of Transportation, all three cars pulled to the side of the road shortly after the incident occurred.
EMS was dispatched shortly after the incident occurred and appeared to treat at least one victim at the scene and transport another victim to an area medical center.
Identifying information about the victims, as well as their current conditions, has not been released. However, officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department say that the investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
