Salt Lake Co, UT (July 28, 2021) – Police officers from Salt Lake City are working to identify a man whose body was discovered on Interstate 15 after being struck by a car sometime on the night of Wednesday, July 28th.
An official with the Utah Highway Patrol said dispatch started receiving calls at about 12:40 a.m. on Thursday morning regarding a possible body in the righthand southbound lane of Interstate 15 in the area of 900 North.
Medical personnel also reported to the scene and pronounced the man dead, stating he had been struck and killed.
Officials stated that there were no cars stopped at the scene and no one had reported hitting a pedestrian in the area.
No identifying information was found on the body.
An investigation into who the man is and exactly what led to his death is ongoing. Officials will be using fingerprint scanning combine with a medical examination to help identify the victim.
