West Valley City, UT – Two Hospitalized After Accident At 3500 South And 1950 West

West Valley City, UT (February 08, 2021) – Two drivers were hospitalized, one in serious condition and one with multiple broken bones, on Sunday, February 7th following a car accident at the intersection of 1950 West and 3500 South.

According to a report from the West Valley City Police Department, the collision occurred at about 8:00 p.m. when a 20-year-old male driving an eastbound Dodge Caliber hatchback ran a red light and crashed into a Dodge Journey SUV.

The driver of the Caliber sustained a head injury and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital in serious and unstable condition.

The driver of the Journey, a 60-year-old male, was also transported to an area hospital with a broken arm and two broken legs.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The crash is under investigation. Police have not ruled out driver impairment as a factor.
