Utah Co, UT – Motorcyclist Dies In Collision With Tractor-Trailer On I-15

Utah Co, UT (August 25, 2021) –  A motorcyclist was killed after a collision involving a pick-up truck, a sports utility vehicle, and then a tractor-trailer on Monday, August 23rd in Utah County.

The Utah Department of Public Safety said the accident happened at about 10:45 p.m. in a construction zone in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15.

The motorcyclist was approaching a construction zone where traffic was reduced to three lanes.

Several vehicles were already stopped when the motorcyclist and a Ford F150 pick-up truck collided. This caused the rider to strike a Ford Expedition and then crash into the rear of a tractor-trailer.

Eyewitnesses were able to fee the motorcyclist from underneath the tractor-trailer. They tried to save his life using CPR. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and continued the life-saving efforts until the victim passed away.

His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
