Salt Lake City, UT (July 16, 2022) – On Thursday, July 14th, a man was killed when his moped collided with another vehicle in downtown Salt Lake City. The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Joseph Filippi.
The incident took place at about 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of 400 South and 555 East.
According to officials, Filippi was driving his moped along the sidewalk when he collided with a vehicle that turned onto 400 South.
Filippi was pronounced at the scene.
