Salt Lake City, UT (January 17, 2022) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following an auto accident in the Salt Lake City area. At around 3:30 p.m., on January 17, the police, firefighters, and EMS were all requested at the scene of a collision on Interstate 15.
The Salt Lake City Police Department reports that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of the interstate in the area near mile marker 277.
The incident closed the right shoulder for an extended time. Police and firefighters closed off a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.
EMS transported injured victims to area hospitals for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
