Duchesne City, UT (January 26, 2022) – The driver of a box truck could be facing charges after crashing into a storefront and injuring three people in Duchesne County on Tuesday, January 25th.
The accident occurred as the truck was traveling westbound on US-40 through Duchesne City at about 8:45 a.m.
Sources said that a snow-covered roadway caused the driver of the truck to lose control of the vehicle, slide off the roadway, and crash into the front of the RC Tire & Lube building located in the 100th block of East Main Street.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck operator was traveling over the speed limit when the crash took place.
Along with serious damage to the building, the driver and a passenger riding in the truck both sustained non-critical injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
One person who was inside the store at the time also sustained non-critical injuries and was treated at the scene.
