Cove Fort, UT (August 8, 2022) – Authorities in the Cove Fort area responded to a serious collision on Interstate 70 that left at least one person wounded.
Just before 10:30 p.m. on Monday evening, August 8, the Utah Department of Transportation reported that an accident had closed westbound I-70 at milepost 11 in Sevier County and also resulted in a vehicle fire that had to be knocked down by local firefighters.
The collision created significant delays in the region. More than an hour was spent at the site as emergency workers tried to clear the road and let through traffic.
