North Creek, UT (May 07, 2021) – Four people sustained injuries when their pick-up truck overturned on Monday, May 6th in the North Creek section of Beaver County.
An official stated that the crash took place when a Toyota Tacoma carrying four people was traveling along South Fork Road. Police believe that the 21-year-old driver was going too fast for the gravel road, lost control of her vehicle, overcorrected, and overturned.
Investigators said that the condition of the pick-up and the crash site indicate the truck rolled a full 360 degrees before coming to a stop. Two of the passengers, a 12-year-old and an 18-year-old, were riding in the bed of the truck and were thrown from the vehicle when it rolled.
Both young passengers sustained critical injuries, including neck injuries, and injuries to the upper and lower back.
The driver of the Tacoma and the front seat passenger both received non-critical during the rollover.
Multiple first response units from Beaver Fire Department and Beaver Ambulance were dispatched to the scene in order to provide treatment and transportation to the hospital. A Life Flight helicopter was also on standby.
