St. George, UT – One Hospitalized After T-Bone Crash At Auto Mall Rd And Black Ridge Dr

St. George, UT (March 27, 2021) – One person was taken to a local hospital on Friday, March 26th after a car accident at the intersection of Black Ridge Drive and Auto Mall Road between an SUV and a car.

Reports show that at about 2:30 p.m., a 2017 GMC Yukon was driving northbound on Auto Mall Road. As they neared the intersection of Black Ridge Drive, where they had a green light, a Ford Focus driving eastbound on Black Ridge Drive toward them failed to stop at the intersection and ran the red light, crashing into the Yukon and causing it to overturn.

The four male occupants of the Yukon all sustained minor contusions and lacerations but declined medical transportation.

The female passenger in the Ford was injured during the impact. Paramedics reported that the passenger was just regaining consciousness while being transported to the hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.

Roughly 40 of all car accidents in Utah cause some form of personal injury. It is not unusual for victims of these accidents to sustain injuries that originally appear to be minor, causing the victim to refuse a medical diagnosis. Even injuries that seem trivial, such as the onset of whiplash, can quickly turn into something much more serious.

An estimated 10 of vehicle collision victims who are eventually diagnosed with whiplash originally thought they had managed to escape harm during their incident until they started noticing symptoms that were serious enough to interrupt their lives.

When victims are injured in accidents caused by the negligence of other drivers, it is crucial that they seek legal guidance from a skilled and knowledgeable car accident attorney in Salt Lake City as soon as possible. When victims are harmed in collisions, through no fault of their own, they are often able to obtain compensation from wrongdoers to alleviate the financial costs they face for medical treatment, lost wages, property repairs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages.
