Morgan, UT (March 30, 2021) – All westbound lanes and some eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 were closed down for more than six hours when a tractor-trailer towing a tanker overturned, spilling an emulsion substance all over the interstate.
The crash took place at about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30th near mile marker 108, just outside of Morgan.
Reports indicate that the operator was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 when the truck swerved off the righthand side of the roadway, causing it to overturn and come to a rest on its roof.
Police declined to say what the emulsion substance that spilled onto the road was but multiple HAZMAT crews were on the scene and the road was not reopened until it was cleared.
