Midvale, UT (March 24, 2021) – Police responded to a call of a driver fleeing the scene after colliding with a pedestrian on Tuesday, March 23rd in Midvale.
An official from the Unified Police Department stated that at about 8:20 p.m., a male approximately 60-years-old was struck as he attempted to cross Fort Union Boulevard at 900 East. He was transported via ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center with a critical head injury.
The driver, a male of unknown age, then exited his vehicle, looked over the victim lying in the street, re-entered his vehicle, and continued heading eastbound along Fort Union Boulevard. ,
The suspect has since been apprehended.
