If a car accident victim wishes to take legal action by filing a claim of personal injury, they have a very specific window of time in which to do so. This time limit, known as the statute of limitations, for car accident-related injuries varies from state to state. In Utah, a crash victim is given four years from the day the accident occurred to file their claim. Once the deadline has passed, any attempt at filing a claim will be denied by the courts.
Due to the fact that time is very limited in these cases, retaining an experienced car accident attorney is the best way to construct your claim, defend your rights, and obtain the financial compensation to which you are entitled.
