Magna, UT (June 04, 2021) – A press statement issued by the Utah Highway Patrol on Friday, June 4th confirmed that one person was killed during a car accident in Magna.
The collision took place when a westbound vehicle exited State Route 201 at 8499 West to go southbound sideswiped another vehicle heading in the same direction.
UHP stated that both vehicles traveled across 8400 West back to the westbound ramp of SR-201. As the first vehicle was crossing the ramp, it was struck almost head-on by a third vehicle.
The driver of the first car was thrown from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the second vehicle sustained non-critical injuries. The occupants of the third vehicle were all transported to a trauma center with critical injuries.
This accident is under investigation.
