Utah grants pedestrians the right-of-way in marked and unmarked crosswalks. They are also allowed to cross the roadway from any location except where it is expressly prohibited. In the event that a pedestrian decides to cross the street in an area with no crosswalk, they are required to give the right-of-way to oncoming traffic.
