Moab, UT (December 14, 2021) – Two tractor-trailer operators were killed during a head-on collision on Tuesday, December 14th in Grand County.
The accident took place at about 4:35 a.m. on US-191 in the area of Interstate 70 in Moab.
Officials said that an International tractor-trailer was driving northbound on US-191 when, for reasons still under investigation, it drifted into oncoming traffic close to mile marker 154.
A Kenworth tractor-trailer that was heading southbound was unable to get out of the way in time and struck the International head-on.
The operator of the International died on impact.
The driver of the Kenworth was treated at the scene but died before they were transported.
