Roy, UT (April 02, 2021) – Two people are in the hospital after their motorcycle was hit by a minivan at the intersection of 5450 South and 1900 West on Thursday, April 1st.
According to Roy police, the accident took place at about 2:40 p.m., a minivan was attempting to make a lefthand turn onto 5400 South when it crashed into the motorcycle.
The male rider was moderately injured and the female rider sustained severe traumatic injuries. Both victims were transported to a local trauma center.
No one inside the minivan was injured during the impact.
Speed and driver impairment are not thought to have played a role in this accident.
