Tremonton, UT (October 2, 2020) – A workplace accident reported early Friday morning sent two workers to area hospitals with injuries. Just after 5:30 a.m., on October 2, firefighters from Tremonton, Fielding, Garland, and Brigham Fire responded to the scene of an incident on North 2000 West.
Reports show that a fire broke out at the food processing plant for West Liberty Foods, which is located at 705 North 2000 West. The fire reportedly started in the boiler room. However, details surrounding the incident are limited at this time. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire with the use of several engines.
The extent of damages is not currently known. Two workers were injured in this incident. Both injured workers were provided treatment at the scene briefly before being transported to an area hospital for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
