Salt Lake City, UT (May 1, 2022) – Authorities in the Salt Lake City area were requested on-site at a collision that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. Just after 5 p.m., on May 1, the Utah Department of Transportation reported that a collision occurred on Westbound Interstate 215.
Reports from UDOT indicate that a collision blocked the right lane of the roadway just south of mile marker 11 by 500 West.
The incident prompted the police and firefighters to close off a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.
Medical personnel rendered aid to victims and transported those in need of further care to area hospitals.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
