Cache Co, UT – One Hospitalized After Cabin Fire Near Porcupine Reservoir 

Cache Co, UT (September 15, 2022) – A residential fire on Thursday, September 15th left a cabin in Cache County a total loss and a resident with injuries. 

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office and Cache County Fire personnel responded to reports of a cabin fire in the area of Scare Canyon near Porcupine Reservoir at about 4:20 a.m. 

The agency said their response to the scene was delayed due to “communication issues with the complainant”.

The cabin was a total loss, but no wilderness areas or other structures were endangered.  The cabin’s sole occupant was moved to a regional hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
