Beaver, UT – Injury Crash Leaves 18-Wheeler Overturned On I-15 Near MM 105

Beaver, UT (May 12, 2022) – An accident involving an 18-wheeler left the truck lying on its passenger side blocking multiple lanes of Interstate 15 in Beaver County on Wednesday, May 11th.

Troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol said the crash took place at about 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of mile marker 105, three miles outside of Beaver.

An eyewitness to the accident indicated that one person was taken away in an ambulance. Their condition and whether or not there were any other victims is unknown at this time.

The area was closed down for more than two hours as emergency responders and police performed preliminary duties and an investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

When an accident with an 18-wheeler is caused by negligence and leaves those involved with injuries, the victim needs the pragmatic legal guidance of a trucking accident lawyer in Beaver. When an individual is injured due to the action or inaction of another, Utah personal injury law makes it possible for them to recover financial compensation for their losses.

In the decade preceding 2002, the number of 18-wheelers that were involved in severe injury collisions rose by more than 10%; an increase due in no small part to preventable circumstances such as being overly tired and unable to drive safely, operating an 18-wheeler in an unsafe fashion, an unbalanced or oversized payload, and defective truck parts.

Collisions that involve 18-wheelers are also vulnerable to the very same elements from which accidents involving smaller vehicles arise, such as driver error, drivers who are under the influence, driving while fatigued, equipment failures, and improper maintenance and defective of dangerous parts.

After being struck by an 18-wheeler, many victims must cope with a lengthy and agonizing recovery. This will likely include painful and rigorous physiotherapy along with multiple operations and continuing medical treatments with exorbitant price tags feeding an ever-growing mountain of medical bills combined with various other associated losses such as lost wages due to not being physically able to work.

Regrettably, many victims of trucking collisions are overwrought and jump at the first offer of a settlement without giving due consideration to what their medical future may hold and, often, without all of their injuries having been properly diagnosed. This mistake, made by a lot of victims, leaves them to cover any and all remaining expenses on their own.

The attentive representation of a practiced 18-wheeler injury lawyer in Utah who can calculate the expenses you can expect to see over the next few years is your best bet at receiving the financial compensation you are entitled to.
