Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Several thousand victims sustain injuries caused by residential fires every year. Most victims who endure fire-related injuries will have to undergo multiple medical treatments. Additionally, until they are completely healed, they will not be able to work. Both of these hurdles can negatively impact their lives and their families’ lives as well.

In addition to burn injuries, victims who survive residential fires are also susceptible to respiratory problems resulting from smoke inhalation, as well as contusions, lacerations, and broken bones sustained while trying to escape the smoke and flames.

Fires break out for many reasons. Salt Lake City and its adjacent communities are known for their heavy fire season that begins mid-summer. Unfortunately, fires are not just a force of nature. Far too often, they are caused by malicious or negligent people.

When victims are hurt in fire-related accidents, it is important that they seek legal advice from a knowledgeable and skilled burn injury attorney at Jardine Law Offices P.C. as quickly as possible. When victims are injured in fires, through no fault of their own, they are usually eligible to pursue compensation from the at-fault party to mitigate the financial costs they face for medical treatment, lost wages, property repairs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages.
