Midvale, UT (July 24, 2022) – A car occupied by several youths crashed through the front window of a 7-Eleven in Midvale on Saturday, July 23rd when the driver accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake.
The accident took place at about 2:00 a.m. when the car impacted the front of a 7-Eleven in the 8000th block of South State Street.
One person sustained non-critical injuries during the incident.
Police said that at least three teenagers were inside the vehicle. After the crash, they immediately began helping to sweep up glass and pick up items around the store.
Officials said the driver might be cited for a traffic-related offense, but no serious charges are expected to follow.
