Cedar City, UT (July 09, 2022) – A driver making a lefthand turn collided with a sedan heading eastbound at the intersection of 200 North and 1150 West on Thursday, July 7th, resulting in injuries.
The collision was between a Lexus LS and a Toyota Prius. Each vehicle carried a single occupant.
Officers responded to the scene at about 1:35 p.m. Upon their arrival, they observed a field of debris strewn across the roadway. An investigation determined that the driver of the Lexus failed to yield to oncoming traffic and crashed into the Toyota.
The drivers were able to move their vehicles out of the roadway so no lanes were closed due to the incident.
The adult female driver of the Toyota sustained injuries consistent with airbag deployment.
The driver of the Lexus was unharmed during the impact but did receive a citation for failure to yield.
