Cedar City, UT (July 14, 2022) – An early morning vehicle collision just outside of Cedar City caused injuries to two drivers after one of them struck a deer on State Route 56 near mile marker 46 on Thursday, July 14th.
According to sources, the vehicle that hit the deer swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Deputies from the Iron County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the second vehicle had overturned and rolled off the roadway.
Both drivers sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
