Woods Cross, UT (August 02, 2022) – A collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 on Tuesday, August 2nd, brought traffic grinding to a halt as drivers in Davis County waited for the scene to be cleared.
The Utah Department of Transportation said the accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. and resulted in the closure of the three lefthand lanes.
Commuters were at a dead stop in all lanes, including a nearby on-ramp.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, there were two vehicles involved. EMTs responded to the scene and aided several people with non-critical injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been determined but preliminary reports state the involved vehicles may have hydroplaned.
